XT-4K is a online multiplayer strategy game that was developed to enabled players to create their own society within a world that has an overall narrative, part of which can be created by players actions within the game. From having history playing offline strategy games it was my interest to see how a massively multiplayer strategy game could work, with the city and society players create being like their avatar; something that grows and changes overtime to reflect their personality in-game.
With a understanding of programming logic allows me to work quickly and efficiently, delivering projects on time and with maximum flexibility to accommodate additional or superfluous features as they become apparent during the development process. While my major skills are in this area, I have an eye for and can appreciate good design. I can contribute valuable input into other areas of the design process. This visual understanding increases the effectiveness of communication between myself and other artists when integrating aesthetics with functionality over the course of a project. Outside of professional and freelance environments, I have pursued video as a hobby, partaking in competitions across Europe, taking third prize in the Polish Off/On Short Film festival in 2005. My aims in the field of New Media design are to pursue new technologies, and explore new concepts and ideas around their potential application.
