Learning Technology Officer (Pedagogic Staff Development), Liverpool John Moores University

Current Duties:

I currently work within the Learning Development Unit (LDU), which promotes, supports, develops, co-ordinates and disseminates learning, teaching and assessment innovations and initiatives. My particular focus is in staff development of the pedagogical aspects of Learning Technology. This job requires me to work in a number of different ways

Research I research technology, education and the space in between with a particular focus on Institutional Change, Creativity, Social Technology and Plagiarism Detection. I attend and have presented at conferences.

Projects I collaborate with staff and students to research and develop creative learning technology projects. This reveals the benefits of particular uses of technology, helping the university get the most from what it has to offer.

Forums I organize different forums, such as the LJMU e-learning forum, as a way of bring staff to learn, share and debate.

Courses I run the SEDA accredited course, called Embedded Learning Technologies (ELT) and teach on various courses such as the PGCert.
